I have a the secure platform NG R55 and have lost the ability to
communicate through the smartdashboard. I see the SIC Reset procedures
but am hesitant to do it. What does this break and what will I have to
reconfigure?

Thanks

SIC is a trust state between management server(s) and enforcement
modules. If you reset SIC, you have to reestablish it for beeing able to
push new policies to the enforcement modules and get log, status data
and so on. Without sic, there is no communication between the modules
and the management servers possible.

You can reset it by doing the following steps:

- reset sic on the module (cpconfig)
- reinitialize sic on this object (sic-passwd)
- reset sic on the management server on the object you have reset previously
- reinitialize sic for this object (sic-passwd)
