Hi,

I have a setup where we run checkpoint fp3 on solaris with an
enterprise license and the management server running on win2000. It
has been decided to migrate to secure platform because our contract
with solaris is up and not been renewed.

My question is can i use the current license i have for the fw module
on solaris for my fw when i move it to secure platform or do i need to
purchase a new license?

Thanks.

You can use your license for SecurePlatform also. If you have central
licensing, you can pre-install the SecurePlatform, make sure all routing
issues are correct and at the "replacement" moment, reset the SIC on the
management server and the module. You should be able to establish
communication and be up and running in about 5 minutes.

Greetings,
Pascal
